Diego Martínez’s work starts with the Internet by creating series of paintings that reflect the classification of visual information contained on the web.

Each series of paintings begins with a search and subsequent selection of images from online archives, which results in a group of images that are either associated to a single word or belong to virtual photography communities. These groups of images are then stored in folders from which some are selected and made into a series of paintings.
